Police have arrested a 52-year-old man in connection with a disturbance in Leamington, which involved armed police.

As we reported earlier, police were called at around 11.15am this morning (Thursday, January 7) to a report of a disturbance at an address on Windmill Road in Leamington.

Armed police surrounded a flat and many police cars and vans were called to the scene.

In the last few minutes police have confirmed that a man has been arrested.

They added: "As a precaution, specialist firearms officers were deployed to the address and a 52-year-old man was arrested in connection with a Section 4a Public Order offence. He remains in police custody at this time."
