Man injured in car key burglary in Lillington

BURGLARS forced their way into a Lillington flat and injured a man in a car key burglary yesterday (Wednesday August 31).

Up to six men are believed to have been involved in the theft of the silver Honda Civic car outside flats in Crown Way at around 11.45pm.

Four men wearing dark clothing and hooded tops forced their way in and stole the keys to the car after threatening the owner. Two others are believed to have waited outside the door.

The Honda was driven away with four men inside.

A gold or yellow coloured Ford Fiesta car was also driven away immediately after the theft and one of those involved ran off on foot along Valley Road.

A 27-year-old man inside the flat sustained minor injuries during the disturbance.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious near the flats at Crown Way, Leamington between 11.30pm on Wednesday and 12.15am on Thursday, or anyone with information about the theft.
