A man reportedly threw chairs and shouted abuse at staff at Leamington Library yesterday (Thursday).

Police said he then allegedly stole alcohol from a shop on the Parade.

Officers said they have arrested a man in connection wit the incident at the Royal Pump Rooms.

A police spokesperson said: "A 41-year-old man from Wokingham was arrested on suspicion of committing a public order offence, criminal damage and theft. He remains in custody."
