Motorcycle, car batteries and gardening equipment among items stolen in Warwick district

Thieves have been targeting sheds and agricultural buildings in the Warwick district.

Over the last few days there has been a spate of incidents in Kenilworth and Cubbington.

The first incidents (incident numbers 356 and 370 of August 21 and 140 of August 20) happened between Tuesday August 18 and Thursday August 20.

A number of sheds at the Gypsy Lane allotments, off Rouncil Lane in Kenilworth have had their locks tampered with or forced off.

Several sheds were entered with at least one shed having a petrol strimmer and back-saver spade stolen.

Then sometime between 6pm on Friday August 21 and 4am on Saturday August 22 (incident number 89 of August 22) someone broken into agricultural buildings in Coventry Road in Cubbington.

After gaining access they stole a motorcycle, two petrol hedge trimmers and three chainsaws

Another incident (incident number 120 of August 23) happened overnight between Saturday August 22 and Sunday August 23.

Someone broke into a garden shed at a property in Birmingham Road in Kenilworth.

Once inside they stole a black and white BMX bicycle, a jump bicycle and a Qualcast 51CM Petrol Mower.

Shed at allotments in Cubbington were also targeted.

At sometime between 3pm on Saturday August 22 and 11am on Sunday August 23 (crime reference number 23/36024/20) , a shed was broken into and someone stole several tools, a gas cylinder and two car batteries.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have any information to get in touch by calling 101 and quoting the relevant incident number given above.
