Police hunt for three men after suspected stabbing in Rugby

Police are hunting for three suspects following a suspected stabbing on Lower Hillmorton Road on Monday, December 7.

Shortly before 1pm yesterday police were called by the ambulance service to an incident in which a man in his early twenties sustained a suspected stab wound to his chest.

He was taking to hospital by ambulance, his injuries were not life-threatening.

The three suspects are described as:

- A white male, wearing glasses, around 6' 1", of a slim build, wearing a face covering or balaclava.

- A white male, approx 5' 8", of a slim build, wearing a face covering or balaclava.

- A white male.

Investigating officer, Det Sgt Mark Robertson from Warwickshire Police said: “We’re appealing for any witnesses or information to this offence, which has left a young man in hospital.

“This is currently being treated as an isolated incident, and a number of enquiries are underway to locate those responsible.

"If anyone has any information, please come forward.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 150 of 7 December.
