A man is being questioned by police over a disturbance in Leamington, which involved armed police.

As we reported earlier, police cordoned off an area in Windmill Road, Leamington, as many police cars and vans went to the scene.

In the last few minutes, Warwickshire Police have given a little bit more information about the incident.

A spokesperson told the Courier and Weekly News: "Police were called at around 11.15am this morning (Thursday, January 7) to a report of a disturbance at an address on Windmill Road in Leamington.

"A man has been detained and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

"Officers remain at the scene while investigations are ongoing."
