Police spot driver changing the number plates on his cloned van in Southam

The driver of a cloned van in Southam was spotted by police changing number plates.

And officers were able to use a 'pre-pursuit stinger' to stop the vehicle in its tracks.

Police have now seized the van and the driver was dealt with for a number of traffic offences.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: "This cloned van was seen in the Southam area to change its number plates, it was quickly spotted by responding officers and using a pre-pursuit stinger deployment the van was stopped and both occupants detained.

"The van's true identity has been established and was seized."
