Rugby man arrested after being caught driving without a licence and possessing suspected class A drugs

Police arrested a man and seized what they believe to be class A drugs following a traffic stop on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 12.

Officers from Rugby Proactive CID stopped the car in Rugby Road after suspecting the driver had been dealing drugs.

The 38-year-old man from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

He was released under investigation for the drug offences and charged with the driving offences.

He will appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on June 25.
