Rugby man arrested after police spot suspected drug deal on Murray Road

A 36-year-old Rugby man was arrested earlier today, June 8, on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

At around 11am this morning officers from Rugby’s Proactive CID team were on patrol on Murray Road when they noticed several people acting suspiciously and witnessed a suspected drug deal take place.

Drugs, believed to be crack cocaine and heroin, were seized.

The man arrested remains in custody.

Enquiries are ongoing but anyone with information concerning suspected drug dealing in the area is asked to call 101 or report it at www.warwickshire.police.uk
