A teenager from Ryton on Dunsmore has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and money laundering offences.

The 17-year-old was caught in a stolen car 'known across the area' with false plates.

PC Craig Purcell of the Warwickshire Rural Crime Team posted on the crime team's Facebook page on Monday (June 29).

He said: "A large part of our work is gathering information to target rural organised crime groups.

"In doing this I recently identified a Ford Focus that I suspected was in use by a male who was one of our key targets and wanted for various offences.

"As a team we were on the lookout but I also passed details to other officers to make sure the car was known across the area.

"Within two days officers from our OPU Warwickshire team spotted it in a rural village around midnight.

"The wanted male was on board and examination of the car found it was displaying false number plates having been stolen from Aylesbury in April.

"A 17 year old male from Ryton on Dunsmore was arrested and later charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary and Money Laundering Offences."
