Suspected human bones have been found in Barford.

Police have been in Barford by the River Avon since Tuesday (May 5) after someone found what is suspected to be human bones.

Some residents posted on social media that a human skull had been found but this has not yet been confirmed by police.

Police have said that 'all lines of enquiry are being explored'.

A spokesperson from Warwickshire Police said: "We were called at 6.30pm on Tuesday evening (May 5) to a report of suspected human bones found by the river in Barford.

"An investigation is in its very early stages and all lines of enquiry are being explored.

"A scene guard will remain in the area whilst enquiries are being conducted."
