A business in the Warwick district is offering a £3,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible and the safe return of items that were stolen this week.

Around £8,000 worth of equipment was stolen from one of John Barber Pruning’s compounds in the Warwick/Leamington area in the early hours of Tuesday morning (November 3).

"Fortunately, we’ve still enough equipment to continue on and most of it is easily replaceable, but its cost a lot of time moving some of our equipment to other compound facilities and reordering tools.

"We’re offering a reward of £3,000 for both the return of the equipment and the conviction of those involved, with everything going on at the moment, this is the last thing we need, we have special markings on all our equipment so we will hope to catch up with some of it at some point but maybe that’s just a hope."

“The items stolen range from Stihl chainsaws, hedgecutters, a Honda generator, strimmer and two small Dosko stump grinders, these are all insured but will take time to replace some of the more specialist items, it is a huge inconvenience, none of our jet cleaning or gutter clearing items were taken.

“Only a handful of our customers were inconvenienced this week and for that we apologise.

"We are fully up and running again and continuing on safely and social distancing at this time."

If anyone has been offered any of this equipment or has any information, they should call the John Barber Pruning office on 01926 426 222 or Warwickshire Police on 101,
