Three people arrested and drugs seized after vehicle stopped in Rugby

Three people have been arrested and drugs have been seized after police stopped a vehicle in Rugby yesterday (Tuesday, August 4).
Officers from Rugby’s Proactive CID team were out on patrol yesterday afternoon when they received intelligence to suggest a vehicle was travelling from Rugby to Coventry to collect drugs in a suspected county lines drugs deal.

Hide AdAt around 1.50pm, they stopped the vehicle on the A45 and arrested a 22-year-old man from Coventry, a 37-year-old man from Coventry and a 65-year-old woman from Rugby, all on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.
Class A drugs and cannabis was also seized.
The three arrested have all been released on police bail.
Following the arrests, officers searched a property on Windsor Street in Coventry, where a significant quantity of Class A drugs, believed to be heroin, was also seized.
