Twelve people were arrested in Warwickshire for drink driving offences over the weekend including three in Rugby and one in Warwick.

A 51-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested in Liza Court, Rugby on Saturday morning and later charged with failing to provide a specimen after officers responded to concerns of a man drink driving.

A 28-year-old man from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after officers stopped a car in Dunchurch Road, Rugby, as part of investigations into an assault.

He was also arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed until the end of October.
