Two people from Rugby arrested for suspected drugs offences

Two people from Rugby have been arrested for suspected drugs offences.

At approximately 1.45pm yesterday (Tuesday August 25), a vehicle was stopped on the A426 Leicester Road by officers from Rugby's Proactive CID Unit (supported by the local policing A shift).

A significant amount of suspected class A drugs were recovered from the vehicle.

A 37-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man, both from Rugby, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Both have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
