Police are warning van drivers to be vigilant after a spate of thefts from vans in the Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth area.

Officers said there has been an increase in cases over the past few days, with power tools being stolen from the vehicles.

The latest two thefts happened in the last couple of days at a farm off the Fosse Way B4455 and in Eathorpe.

A police spokesperson said: "This seems to be a spate starting.

"Please ensure your vehicle is secure when left unattended as the offender/offenders seem to be targeting work vehicles in the area."
