Warwickshire Police have confirmed that they are investigating

A child was taken to hospital with facial injuries after being bitten by a dog.

The incident happened in a house in Nuneaton on Thursday April 6.

Warwickshire Police have confirmed that they are investigating.

They said: "The child sustained facial injuries which required hospital treatment. The dog has now been seized and is awaiting assessment. Enquiries are ongoing."
