Decorate your pet and win £20 to treat them this Christmas

THIS year readers can continue being creative even after their Christmas tree is full of lights and baubles - because it is time for our Decorate your Dog competition.

We are asking all pet owners in Leamington, Kenilworth and Warwick to dress up your best canine friend, tinsel up your tabby or put a Santa hat on your horse and send us your festive pets’ pictures.

We want the animals in the area to show us their Christmas joy, whether they are wearing a sparkly collar, a snowy coat or an elf’s outfit.

Morgan, a rescued Labrador dog, has started off the contest by putting on a special hat and collar.

His owner Lucy Warrender, manager at the RSPCA shop in Kenilworth, said: “Morgan loves getting dressed up for Christmas. He looks so good in a Santa hat and tinsel collar as well.”

The best, most creative looking festive pets will have their pictures published in the Courier and Weekly News for all to see over Christmas.

Kenilworth Pet and Garden Supplies, which is sponsoring our Decorate your Dog competition, will provide the over-all winner with a £20 voucher to spend at the shop in Abbey End.

A £5 vouchers will also be given to two runners-up.
