Diners invited to try out new-look pub

DINERS at a newly refurbished pub in Leamington can watch their meals being prepared before they tuck in.

The Star and Garter in Warwick Street, which was recently taken over by Peach Pubs - which runs the Rose and Crown in Warwick and the Almanac in Kenilworth - is back in business after a three-month refurbishment that has given the establishment a new look and bigger premises.

Manager Jez Kynaston, who is throwing a relaunch party at the pub tomorrow night (Thursday), said: “It’s now a great food pub.

“The pool room has been converted into a restaurant and an extension has been fitted for an open-plan kitchen, which is brand new, modern and fully-fitted. We use fantastic suppliers, including Aubrey Allen, which is our sole meat supplier.

“It’s a great family pub where everybody is welcome.”
