The annual event sees more than 250 artists across Warwickshire open their doors to the public, with a huge variety of art on display, including sculptures, jewellery, watercolours, woodwork and more.

Among those taking part in the Rugby area are Sarais Crawshaw who will show off her wildlife artwork in Willey, while Virginia Dowe-Edwards will demonstrate how she creates smoke-fired ceramic animals in Newton.

Don Mason, leader of Warwickshire Open Studios, said: “We’ve award-winning artists to up-and-coming new faces, artists at work and artists who love to share the way they work and let you take a peek behind the scenes.

“You’ll see fascinating ‘work in progress’ and some artists even offering the chance to have a go yourself.

“Follow the trail from venue to venue stopping off at Rugby, Stratford, Shipston, Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth, Coventry, and new this year, Studley, centred around The Artists’ Workhouse.

“You can go village-hopping off the beaten track or choose to visit all the artists of a similar type.”

Warwickshire Open Studios runs from June 18 to July 3 and admission is free.
