Dogs for the Disabled fun at Stoneleigh Park

Hundreds of people tried out fencing, wheelchair basketball and Boccia and watched dog agility sessions, dog parade and dogs ‘heel work to music’ shows at the Dogs for the Disabled fun day, held at the Kennel Club at Stoneleigh Park.

Some 1,500 people went along and helped raised funds for the Banbury-based charity. Chief executive Peter Gorbing said: “The day was a huge success.”

It costs almost £3 million pounds a year to run Dogs for the Disabled, £12,000 to train puppies to become assistance dog and nearly £20,000 to fund the dogs for their working life. To find out more and donate, visit www.dogsforthedisabled.org
