Dogs guide the way to our hearts

A COMPETITION to name a guide dog helped residents at a Leamington care home raise £100 for the Guide Dogs Association.

And there were bright eyes and wagging tails all round when association representative Chris Fowler brought along golden retriever Bella and her six-month-old puppy Mary to meet residents and staff at the James Hirons care home in Lillington Road and collect the £100 raised .

Activities co-ordinator Amrit Ubhi said: “It’s something that was close to the residents’ hearts.

“They just loved the animals and it was absolutely fantastic that they could bring Bella and Mary in to meet people.”
