Elderly man rescued from fire at house in Warwick
Fire crews from Leamington and Kenilworth rescued an elderly man from a house in Warwick in the early hours of today (Thursday).
An electric blanket had caught fire in a bedroom and the man was trapped inside the house in Beaufell Close on the Woodloes estate.
The crews extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus, a hose reel, covering jet and trauma pack.
The Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Warwickshire’s Fire Emergency Support Service also attended.
Crews were in attendance for one hour.
