Embassy Days dances back at Leamington town hall

MUSIC from the 1940s, 50s and 60s will be the soundtrack to monthly dances being relaunched at Leamington town hall.

Elderly people’s group Older People in Action, supported by charity Age UK Warwickshire, is reviving its Embassy Days events, with the first taking place at Leamington town hall in the Parade on Sunday October 14 from 2pm to 5pm. Organiser Linda O’Sullivan said the dances were first held at The Assembly in Spencer Street in 2010 after a survey showed loneliness, particularly at weekends, was a problem among elderly people in the area.

Admission is by ticket only. Tickets cost £5 and are available from the town hall box office on 334418. Call 477517 for more  information.
