Aldi to trial plastic-free initiative in Warwickshire stores
Supermarket Aldi is set to trial plastic-free toilet paper in its stores in Warwickshire.

The supermarket is to sell four-packs of 'Luxury Toilet Paper' wrapped in paper, rather than non-recyclable plastic, in its stores in Queensway in Leamington and in Paddox Close and Central Park in Rugby.

It could then be extended to cover kitchen towels.
“While we are starting this trial in the West Midlands, we hope to roll it out across the UK as soon as possible as part of our aim to tackle the use of excess plastic.
Removing plastic from household goods is part of the supermarket’s work to ensure all its own-label packaging will be recyclable, reusable or compostable by 2022.
