Concerns over an increase in fly-tipping in the Warwick district as we move into a new lockdown

More cases of fly-tipping in the Warwick district have been reported.

Police said that fly-tipping increased after the first lockdown in March last year and are worried that the problem will continue during this new lockdown period.

Kenilworth and Warwick Rural Police said they have spotted five incidents where people have dumped rubbish near Wappenbury Wood and the village of Stareton. These cases have been reported to Warwick District Council.

A police spokesperson said: "If you witness any vehicle emptying rubbish in a lay-by or on a verge please take a note of the registration plate. This is to enable you to report it officially to the local council."
