HS2 workers are currently on site today (Monday) at an ancient woodland near Leamington.

Reports suggest two cherry pickers are there and staff are using chainsaws as part of removal of some of the trees at South Cubbington Wood.

Protesters have spent many months trying to stop HS2 workers bringing down the trees to make way for the high speed railway line.

Cubbington Action Group Against HS2 said a protest group has formed near the woods, adding: "Please join protestors in support at the Cubbington Compound entrance on Rugby Road, Cubbington.

"Bring banners, singing voice or just yourselves."
