Two burglars entered the house in Bagshaw Close at around 6.35pm after kicking open the door.

One of them was armed with a baton.

They demanded the keys to the red Ford Focus parked on the drive outside, but left when they saw the keys on a coffee table and grabbed them.

One of the offenders who forced entry to the house is described as being approximately 6ft tall, of slim build and in his early 20s.

He was wearing a dark hoody and had a scarf round his face.

The Ford Focus was driven off, without any lights, along Bagshaw Close and into Fetherston Crescent before being lost from view.

At 7.50pm the Focus was seen being driven along the A4071 Straight Mile driving towards Princethorpe in convoy with another red car.

The Focus was then found abandoned in Bourton-on-Dunsmore near the gates of Bourton Hall a short time later.
