Fire in Southam industrial estate

Six crews fron Southam, Leamington, Rugby and Atherstone used a hose, water jets and breathing apparatus to tackle the fire in the Kineton Road industrial estate.

The fire started at around 9am, behind two skips in a single-storey building that is currently under renovation in Westfield Road.

Neighbouring TBS Building Supplies closed for the day because of smoke entering its premises.

The last fire engine left the scene at 1.25pm. An entry on the firm’s website reported that nobody was hurt, and that customers’ orders were instead being sent from its Daventry branch.
