A spokesperson from Kenilworth Fire Station said: "On arrival crews were faced with smoke issuing from the front door of the property. The occupier informed us the fire was involving the fuseboard in the downstairs toilet.
"Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed into the property and used carbon dioxide extinguishers to extinguish the fire. Crews gave oxygen therapy to the occupier who was suffering mild smoke inhalation.
"After a checkup from the ambulance service the occupier was looked after by the fantastic Red Cross Emergency Response team who looked after her in the warmth of their vehicle whilst firefighting operations took place.

"They then transported her to a relatives house as the damaged caused by the fire made the house uninhabitable.
"Crews awaited the electricity board to isolate the supply to the house to allow us to cut away and damp down. We returned to station just after 10pm.
