Focus on dog orders at Leamington meeting

DOG control orders in and around Leamington will be discussed by Warwick District Council’s executive committee tonight (Wednesday).

Councillors will approve or reject proposals to make changes to the orders across the district following a public consultation on the matter.

Hundreds of dog owners have protested against proposed amendments, which could mean that in some areas dogs will have to be kept on leads.

A final decision will not be made at tonight’s meeting, but at a later date by the full council.

Committee members will also talk about the Government’s latest moves on planning for gypsy and traveller sites and the HS2 project. The meeting, which is open to the public and takes place at Leamington town hall, starts at 6pm.
