Free castle entry for Age UK fun walk entrants

BROADCASTER Liz Kershaw will start a fundraising walk in aid of Age UK Warwickshire in the historic grounds of Warwick Castle on Sunday October 7.

Children taking part in the event can visit the castle’s Princess Tower after the walk and dress up lke princesses and knights for the day.

The former BBC Coventry and Warwickshire breakfast show presenter, who is the patron of the charity’s Warwickshire branch, will officially start the walk at 10am.

This year’s walk will raise money for a new minibus.

Fundraising manager Georgina Morgan said: “The walk has been designed to be family friendly, and is suitable for all the family including parents, grandparents and children.

“The route will take you past beautiful gardens and birds of prey, it really is very relaxing.”

Entering the walk costs £6 per person. All entrants will receive free entry into the castle and grounds for the whole day.

Children under five years of age will enter for free and there will be free parking available until noon.

Registration will start from 9am and the walk begins at 10am.
