Leamington Art Gallery’s Summer Art Club runs every Thursday, with half-hour sessions starting at 2pm, 2.45pm and 3.30pm.

Next week, participants will be able to become a curator and create their own mini museums, using images they can see in the gallery. On August 20, children will create their own summer bunting, and the final club day on August 27 will involve an activity planned by members of the gallery’s Young Curators Club.

The free art club is recommended for children aged between seven and 12, who must be accompanied by an adult.

Also taking part at the gallery next Wednesday (August 12) from 11am to 4pm is a What’s In Your Garden event, at which children can use optics and binoculars to spot birds on the River Leam, create bird feeders and take part in a bird quiz.

On Saturday August 29 from 11am to 4pm, there will be a special Family Day to celebrate the National Bowls Championships in Leamington, with indoor games, face painting and Punch and Judy shows.

All events are free. For further details, call 01926 742700.
