Adults and children dressed up in impressive fancy dress outfits to get into the spirit of the event, while volunteers dished out hot soup and baked potatoes warmed over a campfire.

Activities during the afternoon included making a witch’s broomstick, decorating cupcakes in a Halloween design, creating pine cone firefighters and woodturning, while there were also pole-lathe demonstrations, music and singing round the campfire and a bring-and-share picnic.
