Fundraising efforts bring more support for newborns
BABIES and their parents in south Warwickshire will benefit from two generous donations recently received by Warwick Hospital.
The Oak pub in Warwick presented the Lakin Road site’s special baby care unit with £2,000, which will go towards buying specialist equipment.
And the hospital’s maternity department received funds from the Pregnancy and Birth Network raised through organising a show for expecting and new parents at Leamington town hall. The money will be spent on further improving the department’s birthing rooms.
Diane Ménage, from the network, said: “A comfortable, more homely environment can make a big difference to women in labour.”
