Fundraising night nets £5k for youth activities

A HOLIDAY in Spain, a tour of Aston Villa stadium and a flight lesson were among the prizes won at an auction in Warwick that raised £5,600 for the Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs (WAYC).

WAYC staff and trustees were joined at the Lord Leycester Hospital by civic representatives from across the county for a dinner and auction, which raised the record-breaking amount, to be used to fund youth activities in Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull.

Chief executive William Clemney said: “It has been a fantastic night for everyone and has raised a record amount of funding for local youth activities. I’d like to thank all our WAYC supporters and guests, as well as the organisations that so kindly donated items for the auction.”
