Gary’s footballing friends will unite to help him out

FOOTBALLERS who have played at different levels of the game will come together to support a former Southam United player.

Gary Puddiford, 28, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis seven years ago and is now unable to play.

His former manager Mark ‘Curly’ O’Callaghan, who is now assistant boss at Redditch United, has got together with friends to put on a match to raise funds to pay for Mr Puddiford’s care and treatment.

A Southam Past team managed by former Racing Club Warwick manager Dave Draper will take on a Non-League All Stars side including former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie and ex-Republic of Ireland international Mark Kinsella at Southam’s ground in Banbury Road on Saturday May 5 (2.30pm kick-off).
