Get hands on experience with milking cows
Hatton Adventure Farm, near Warwick, has added a hands-on twist to its annual Summer Spectacular this year, with daily cow milking and calf rearing demonstrations.
The milk-a-cow display is running throughout the school holidays, giving visitors the opportunity to see what it’s like to be a real dairy farmer. There are two 15-minute demonstrations held at 1pm and 4.30 pm each day and Adventure Farm manager Richard Craddock said that educational talks are delivered during the milking process, which is performed on Mini Milk - a Friesian cow.
