Get involved in this year’s Leamington Carnival

The return of the carnival last July (pictured right) was hailed as a great success and organisers are keen to make sure it is repeated again this year.

Jamie Walker, chairman of the committee said: “We were overwhelmed by the support and the positive reception to the carnival and would love to see it return this year.

“We are a small team of enthusiastic people – but we need more help to make it a success once again.”

“The committee are very pleased to once again have the support of Leamington Town Council which will ensure the event will take place.”

However they are looking for people to join the steering committee or help with specific tasks such as fund raising, accounts, communications, and recruiting volunteers. Another role will be organising the carnival king and queen selection event that will take place prior to the carnival.

The date for this year’s Carnival is Saturday July 11.

An open meeting will take place next Wednesday February 4 at Leamington Town Hall from 6pm.
