Girls in Leamington disappear with drugs

POLICE in Leamington are concerned for the welfare of two young girls who may have taken medication that was not meant for them.

More than 50 Diazapan tablets were given by their owner to the girls in the Pump Room Gardens by Dormer Place, but the girls then ran off.

The incident happened on Friday at around 4pm.

Officers are keen to find the drugs as they could result in serious illness if taken by people to whom they have not been prescribed - particularly children.

Anyone who finds the medication should hand them in at a pharmacy, medical centre or the police station in Newbold Terrace so they can be correctly and safely disposed of.

Any witnesses, or anyone who knows the identity or whereabouts of the girls, should call police on 415000, quoting incident 143 of July 4.
