Golf open to support Myton Hospices

Staff at Newbold Comyn Golf Course will be holding their Charity Open next Friday (March 16) from 8am to 5pm and are inviting people of all ages and abilities to take part.

Last year the event raised £1,100 for the charity and manager Andy Hicks is hoping it will be as successful again.

He said: “We had a brilliant day last year. You don’t have to be a member and it doesn’t matter if you have never played golf you can just come along and help us raise money.

“Last year it got very busy and we would advise anyone hoping to play to book in advance.”

Mr Hicks experienced the services offered by the hospices when his wife’s grandfather was cared for last year.

The event is sponsored by Vogue International hair salon.
