Golfers club together to raise money for Warwick education charity

The charity golf day was held at The Warwickshire Golf Club in Leek Wootton last Thursday with 40 people turning up to raise money for Warwick-based Education for Health.

The weather held out for the competition, with an auction and competitions held afterwards.

Although it is not yet known how much was raised, the event has been deemed another success, with organisers now looking ahead to next year.

Education for Health’s chief executive Monica Fletcher said: “The organisers of the event were delighted and anticipate money raised on the day will exceed last year’s total.

“It’s wonderful that people are prepared to support our charity given the current financial climate”
