Having a cuppa for Dementia UK

DEMENTIA carers have held a successful fundraising event to support a charity which helps people with the condition.

The Time for a Cuppa event, organised by SureCare and held at Pure Offices in Tachbrook Park, raised £220 for Dementia UK.

Warwick District Council chairwoman Cllr Felicity Bunker attended the event and spoke to carers and the families of people with dementia.

Desiree Lambert, director of SureCare, said: “Supporting the work of Dementia UK is very important to me as dementia affects the lives of so many in Warwickshire.

“The charity works hard to provide much needed support services such as the Admiral nurses who support families where there is a diagnosis of dementia. We’d like to see more nurse posts funded.”
