Healthy meals win award for south Warwickshire care homes
Providing residents with consistently healthy and nutritious meals has won three south Warwickshire care homes the national Heartbeat award.
Four Ways in Lillington, Sycamores in Sydenham and Woodside in Warwick all won the accolade, under a scheme run by local authorities and the NHS to recognise cateres offer healthy food choices and have good food hygiene practices.
Four Ways manager Pearl Mackey said: “Diet is a vital element of our care and it’s hugely important to us to know our residents are genuinely getting all the nutrients they need. Our catering team does a fabulous job in creating tasty meals with a varied menu which residents often help select.”
