Heating picked over holidays

WARWICK-based company Midcounties Co-operative has revealed new research saying that people are more concerned about being warm this winter than having a summer holiday.

The report says that 48 per cent of local people have scrapped the annual holiday this year and Cooperative are calling for the industry to waive exit penalties.

Co-operative’s Nigel Mason said: “Our latest research findings have identified some worrying results from beleaguered energy consumers.”
