Helen wins £50,000 in crisp notes!

CRISP lover Helen Yendall has been handed a cheque for £50,000 after successfully identifying one of three trial flavours introduced by Walkers.

And who better to hand over the money to Helen than Gary Lineker, the man who gleefully swept away his whole Mr Nice Guy image after quitting the football pitch.

Walkers had produced bags of crips with three mystery ingredients and put up prize money of £150,000 to be divided between the three entrants who guessed the flavours.

The result was 793,000 entries with Helen, who lives in Warwick, the first out of the bag to correctly identify a sour cream and spring onion taste.

The other two flavours were Lincolnshire sausage and brown sauce and Birmingham chicken balti.

Helen, aged 49, said: “I submitted a few answers but always had a hunch that flavour A was sour cream and spring onion. The win came as a bit of a surprise and it was great getting to meet Gary Lineker in London - he’s very charming.”
