Crew and staff at and supporters of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance will be wearing and handing out yellow pin badges in exchange for donations from September 21 to 27.

Critical care paramedic Jenny Conway, who has committed to taking an hour out of her busy working schedule on September 26 to the cause, said: “Our service carried out nearly 1,000 missions last year – that’s about three missions every single day. But we couldn’t do that without our supporters. We don’t receive any government funding, and each mission costs around £1,700.
