Hit and run injures eight in Warwickshire village

Pedestrians were hurtled into the hedgerow by the side of a Stockton road in a hit-and-run incident on Wednesday night.

Police are trying to track down the driver of the car, a silver Renault Clio, involved in the crash, which occured next to the Blue Lias pub in Stockton Road just before 10pm.

The car lost control as it left a classic car show in the village and hit eight people who were standing at the side of the road, forcing some of them into the hedgerow. The driver then drove off in the direction of the A426.
