The David Wilson Homes site in Warwick Gates set up a collection point for non-perishable food and drink items and toiletries to hand over to the Trussell Trust, which manages the Leamington and Warwick Foodbank.

John Reddington, managing director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the level of support our foodbank campaign has received and the generosity of the community in Warwickshire. We were thrilled to be able to present the Trussell Trust with a variety of items that we hope can help a number of people to have a happier Christmas.”

Another housebuilder, Barratt Homes, also collected donations at its sites in Warwickshire for foodbanks in the county in December, so packages could reach people in time for Christmas.
