Hundreds enjoy Whitnash’s Christmas lights switch-on

Crowds gathered at the Plough and Harrow on Sunday (December 7) to watch the Whitnash Christmas lights switch-on.

Around 1,000 people attended the event, which included live bands, a raffle, charity stalls, a funfair and food stands.

There was also a magician and entertainer for the children, along with the chance to meet Father Christmas.

Simon Button, Whitnash Town Councillor and event organiser, said: “We are very grateful for Wolseley UK’s sponsorship and the help and hard work of our volunteers who run the event.

“We have about 8,000 residents in Whitnash and the annual lights switch on is a real community highlight which brings everyone 
together.”
